Fixed 8X T2.4 zoom lens only. The focal lengths are 7.5mm-63mm or the FF35 Equivalent of 28mm-224mm.
Sensor size: 2/3″, 10.1mm x 5.35mm. Resolution: 3k, 3072 x 1728, 5.3MP.
- 3K: 1-120fps (150fps burst)
- FF1080P: 1-60fps
- Scaled 1080P: 1-60fps

Can a 2 x extended and or a wide angle adaptor of some sort be screwed onto the 8 x fixed lens for the scarlet?

Yes, the 8x fixed zoom has a 77mm threads on the front that will take 3rd party wide angle and telephoto adapters.
So does that mean you could shoot anamorphic with an adapter and not loose any vertical screen on the fixed scarlet? as in a 16:9 to 2:35:1?
My guess is you could use an anamorphic adapter and use all of the vertical resolution. You would still be cropping the edges horizontally because of the anamorphic squeeze. This is just speculation though until we get a Scarlet in our hands and can test it.
