ORIGINAL POST 11.30.2009: Jarred has just announced the REDMOTE PRO which has a built in wireless follow focus. The pro is $1,750 as opposed to $550 for the non pro version.
Both REDmotes disable their wireless signal when attached to the back of the brain.
As a steadicam op, I am going to order this right now! This puts me firmly in the Red camp now, wireless follow focus is a must have for all steadicam ops and this is the most elegant app for the Canon lenses I have ever seen. Amazing!!!
No kidding. And with Canon and Nikon electronic lenses you won’t even need a motor which means one less piece to balance out. I also can’t wait to see how face tracking works with a steadicam…
