RMD Autosave to Dropbox
REDcine-X allows you to save adjustments made to RAW footage as an RMD file that can be applied to other clips, emailed, etc.
We just discovered that if you set your “master RMD directory” in Redcine-X to a folder in your DropBox, changes you make to an R3D will stay even if you open it on another computer! I can work on my PC in the morning and then open the R3D on my Macbook Air in the afternoon and all the changes are there. Soooo convenient.
- Go to “preferences” – “general”
- Make sure “automatically save RMD files” is checked
- Click on the “change” button above “Master RMD Directory” and select a folder in your DropBox
Now whenever you play with the RAW settings in Redcine-X an RMD file will be saved to your DropBox folder. All you have to do is set the autosave RMD directory in Redcine-X to that DropBox folder on any other computer and it somehow knows which RMD to load. It’s pretty much magic.
