RED Studios Hollywood

RED News

RED now owns a city block smack dab in the middle of Hollywood: Jannard just purchased Renmar studios (rumored at 25 million) which has quite a rich history in Hollywood. Here are some notable projects shot there: “I Love Lucy”, “Our Miss Brooks”, “Danny Thomas Show”, “The Jack Benny Show”, “The Real McCoys”, “I Spy”, “Hogan’s Heroes”, “That Girl”, “Make Room for Daddy”, “The Dick Van Dyke Show”, “The Golden Girls”, “Lizzie McGuire” and “Ally McBeal”.

It will still remain a working studio. From Jannard: “There are 5 stages at RED Studios Hollywood. RED will take one for demos, etc. and the others will remain as working stages for various productions. ” They decided to call it RED Studios Hollywood to differentiate it from the RED Ranch in Las Vegas. This is the first confirmation in awhile that the RED Ranch is still in the works. The Lakeforest RED location will still be operational as well.

We visited the studio for the Jan. 16th RED Day. When we walked into Stage 4 there was a Sony SXRD T series projector aimed at a massive floor to ceiling screen against the back wall that made the presenters look like little ants (even Jarred).
