Jim Jannard has just posted some new renders of the RED Scarlet camera. As you can tell a couple things have changed since the last renders RED released.
Scarlet with audio/video, recording and battery modules stacked on the back.
Notice the wireless antenna in these renders.
Here is a good comparison of the RED One with the new DSMC system. The Scarlet body is tiny compared to the RED One.

I like the scarlet. Does it work with all programs? For editing I will like to do movie’s and sitcom’s, video’s ext. Let me know what editing programs it takes.
Hi Steven, at this point the latest version of Sony’s Vegas and Adobe’s Premiere Pro support drag n drop editing of the R3D RAW files that the Scarlet will generate. You can also edit Scarlet footage with any editor by transcoding the RAW files with Redcine-X, a free program from RED: http://www.red.com/support Redcine-X also supports some basic editing functions on it’s own.
