I’m so sick to death of these arbitrary limitations. If this camera can do 1-150fps at 9k, then why wouldn’t it be able to do 1-150 at anything in a lower resolution?

I think these are just guestimates until they have an actual production camera to test real life framerates. RED announced in April that the Epic-X can do 300fps at 2k which is quite a bit more than the 250fps originally announced. http://reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?57541-EPIC-frame-rates

This cam even is not exist, what are you giving to rent? There is no model such as Red Epic 617. I checked everywhere even the offical site of RED, this is not exist, the pictures of 617 is a paint made by 3d max vray in 2009.

RED is still working on medium format and large format Epic cameras. Things obviously took a lot longer than they had originally planned so I would expect an update on the 645 and 617 when they announce the details of the Dragon sensor. We’re hoping they do so in a week at NAB 2012!
